According to Nana Akomea, the Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC) and former Minister for Information.“ the testimony of airbus must be deeply embarrassing to President Mahama and his party, the NDC and shocking to the country at large. This is extremely damning”

“I would have thought that, because of the enormity of this matter to the NDC and President Mahama’s chances, they would be interested in ensuring that proper investigations are conducted into the matter as narrated by airbus”

He made this categorical statement this morning on Tv3’s KeyPoints with Abena Tabi as they discussed among others, Interpol’s issuance of Red Notice for Adam Mahama, the brother of Fmr. President Mahama

Nana Akomea expressed shock as to why the NDC is making assertions that the Office of the Special Prosecutor is being petty, mischievous and being used by the government to score political points.

‘I thought that my brothers and sisters in the NDC would push the Special Prosecutor to get to the bottom of the matter and if there is nothing to that testimony, then the conscience of President Mahama and the country will be cleared. this is horribly unfortunate” The former Minister for Information debunked claims that the OSP is being used for political advantage.

On the issue of why the Interpol red alert, Nana Akomea suggested that the Special Prosecutor is not satisfied and that is why it’s been escalated to the level of requiring assistance from Interpol.
