The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has instructed the Publisher of New Golden Publications to immediately withdraw unapproved textbooks from the market. The textbook in question is titled “Golden History of Ghana BS 6 by Mercy Gyaa-Adiyiah, Golden English Basic 4”.
The said book contains inappropriate references to ethnic groups especially the Ewe group. NaCCA has also directed the publishers to issue an unqualified apology to the misrepresented ethnicities and personalities. Below is a copy of the letter
